The Basic:
In The Basic package I will deliver articles crafted to your liking for 20 cents per word. For example, a 500-word article will be completed for $100.
In this package you are responsible for telling me who to contact if a source is required and little to no additional research will be required from me, other than the interview with the client.
Basically, I am acting strictly as a writer.
The Full Monty:
In the Full Monty package I will act as the coordinator, researcher, and writer.
We will have a meeting to discuss your goals and I will take it from there as a trained journalist to find all the information to complete the assignment.
In this package I will deliver articles on 20 cents per word, with an additional hourly rate of $30 per hour used to coordinate, research, and assemble the final product. You will not be charged for time spent writing.
Press Releases
Need an extra hand in your media outreach?
I will craft press releases, backgrounders, and easy-to-print media articles. These can target print or online media. There is a big market for “ready-to-run” articles that takes the work off the hands of the reporters and publishers, and these can serve as great advertising opportunities and increase your profile as an expert in your field.
Releases can be sent to print media, broadcasters, and especially to podcasters and other influential bloggers that you know can increase your visibility.
In this service I will deliver articles or formal releases on 20 cents-per-word, with an additional hourly rate of $30 per hour if you require my services to coordinate, research, and assemble the product. I can also provide a list of potential areas to submit.
Included in this package, is 1 FREE revisions if required.
Editing & Proofreading
In this package I provide trained eyes to work you have already written. This services can be applied to:
Grant Applications
College Acceptance Essays or other work intended for submission
Blogs or Website Pages
Manuscripts
Work/course Documents
In editing your work I will provide consistency, grammatical accuracy, and I will look to support the proper flow of information.
I follow Canadian Press Style or the Chicago Manual Of Style depending on what your needs are. If you are unsure of which style you require, I can let you know which is more appropriate for your project.
Editing services and proofing will be provided on a per-project basis for pricing; however, the quote will be influenced by the amount of editing or the extent of re-writes required. Pricing will reflect the rates set-forth by the Editorial Freelancers Association.
